Who We Are

As a fast-growing small business, Long River Healthcare (LRH) is a diverse business with the unique ability to supply hundreds of private labeled general medical supplies to our local, state and national clients while competing with much larger companies on the price and quality of our goods.  We believe that small businesses are the backbone of the U.S. economy and that integrating supplier diversity with small business growth and development will lead to increased profits for our clients and impact their bottom lines.

LRH’s key objective is to consistently meet our customers’ expectations for high quality medical supplies, delivered on-time at a competitive price.  A principal means to this end is to establish stable, mutually beneficial business relationships with all of our clients throughout the United States buying our products, and utilizing our services, with on-time, defect-free medical supplies and fabricated items.

We firmly believe that successful, and long-term, relationships are based on mutually agreed upon performance expectations and measures, continuous process improvements, and effective communication.  In addition to enduring relationships and shared success, not only for LRH, but also for our clients and their stakeholders as well.

LRH’s vision is to witness a noticeable spike in performance based growth opportunities for a diverse group of small businesses (including; SDB, MBE, WOSB, VOSB, SDBOSB and AbilityOne (SourceAmerica)) in the area of medical supply sales and distribution.  LRH clients are exceeding internal companywide and federal agency small business targets & goals.

The Owner

 

Michael Stewart’s 35-year career ignited his passion for supplier diversity and small business growth and development. During his 25 years with Hewlett-Packard Co., Michael was equally responsible for building and managing HP’s award-winning supplier diversity program. In 2007 Michael was honored as the recipient of the Small Business Administration’s “National Small Business Advocate of the Year Award. After his long career with HP, Michael held the position of Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO) at Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. (BAH), a prime to the Federal Government, prior to retirement in November 2016.
